Dishwasher E24 Error Caused by a Drain Blockage

Dishwasher error code E24 is commonly associated with drainage problems. In many cases, the dishwasher stops during the cycle and leaves water inside the machine because the system cannot remove water properly.
In this service case, the dishwasher displayed error code E24 and stopped mid-cycle. Water remained inside the unit and the program could not finish normally. From the outside the appliance appeared to be working, but the drainage system was not functioning correctly.
During inspection, our technician examined the drain system and pump area to identify the cause of the problem. The issue was traced to a blockage in the drainage path that prevented the dishwasher from pumping water out of the machine.
Once the blockage was removed, the drainage system was cleaned and the pump was tested to confirm proper operation. After service and testing, the dishwasher returned to normal draining and was able to complete the wash cycle successfully.
Dishwasher drainage problems like this are very common and can appear suddenly during everyday use. Small food particles, grease buildup, and debris can gradually restrict the drain path until the dishwasher is no longer able to remove water effectively.
Common signs of a dishwasher drainage problem include the dishwasher stopping mid-cycle, water remaining at the bottom of the unit, error codes related to drainage such as E24, or the appliance failing to complete the wash program.
Early diagnosis helps prevent repeated interruptions during washing cycles and helps restore the appliance to normal operation.
